You'll have the opportunity to help shape the content and structure of a major website with several thousand unique visitors each week. Your task will be to help polish, perfect and expand the WebVantage web presence, by integrating new content with our existing online resources. Our Web Intern will hand-code HTML updates to various site pages, create new sections and user features, design content development plans and format multimedia files for the web.

This internship offers a flexible schedule with an eight-hour a week minimum commitment. The position is not paid, but we are happy to work with any academic requirements the intern may have, to help them earn college credit for their efforts.

Essential:

  • Experience handcoding HTML
  • Photoshop
  • Cheerful, friendly, upbeat outlook
  • Familiarity with Macintosh computers
  • Professional, responsible demeanor

Helpful:

  • Comfort with simple CGI scripts and PHP
  • Experience with streaming audio and video files
  • Image scanning expertise
  • Knowledge of information architecture and user interface design concepts
  • Experience creating animated display advertisements for the web
  • Copywriting ability
